LabSYNC Point E-H6 and E-H7

Problem: It is often unnecessary and wasteful to maintain a narrow temperature band within the laboratory for everyday use. It can also be wasteful to have your lab ventilated for worst case scenario situations when not applicable to your research. In fact, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning account for about 40% to 70% of lab energy use.

Solution: Work with your facilities to widen the band by a 2 or more degrees if your research allows it. If stringent settings are not necessary for your lab in regards to temperature range and number of air changes per hour, work with facilities to adjust your settings.

Benefit: You can significantly reduce the amount of energy used in your lab which results in a large monetary savings.

Cost: There is little to no cost in adjusting the settings and still maintaining a proper environment for your research.
