Dr. Sara Goldrick-Rab: Addressing Students’ Basic Needs

December 5, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join us for an evening with scholar-activist Dr. Sara Goldrick-Rab while she discusses the new economics of colleges and how they have created a crisis of basic needs insecurity on campuses across the nation. She will review the latest evidence on prevalence of student food insecurity and daily financial struggles. She will also be holding a signing session for her book “Paying the Price: College Costs, Financial Aid, and the Betrayal of the American Dream”.

The event will be held Wednesday, December 5th, at 7 PM in PS 101, SBCC campus. If you are a UCSB student interested in attending the event, please direct message us if you’d like to join a ride-share to the event, or can provide some spots in your vehicle for fellow peers who’d be interested in attending!
