In order to allow UCSB researchers to identify scientific research equipment available for use on campus, the Office of Research, in collaboration with the LabRATS campus laboratory sustainability program and the MRL, will create and launch a web database, unaffiliated with any particular campus department, listing all shared-access instrumentation and facilities known to be available at UCSB for the campus scientific community.
Student Worker for Shared Instrumentation Website
UCSB Sustainability Program within the Department of Geography
This position will primarily include collecting data on laboratory equipment on campus and posting that information to our shared instrumentation website. This will be a low stress position and does not require much previous experience. Many of the hours will be spent logging information into a computer.
- Ability to represent the program professionally in interactions with key stakeholders; and
- Strong writing and editing skills.
