After School Program at Isla Vista Teen Center

ELF maintains a strong relationship with the local youth center to provide project-based environmental education to students in the local community. At least once a week, ELF interns interact with the students by providing dynamic presentations, field trips to sustainable facilities on UCSB’s campus, and various other exposures to green education and practices.

Estero Park Collaboration

By communicating with this local Isla Vista park, ELF hopes to make improvements to engage more children in playing outdoors and renovate the bathrooms to be more sustainable. By implementing small changes such as the implementation of soccer nets, local children will be more interested in playing both in the park and participating with the neighboring Youth Center.
