About Us

PACES (the Program for the Assessment and Certification for the Environment and Sustainability) recognizes leadership in campus sustainability and assists departments, laboratories, and event coordinators in identifying new opportunities where they can further reduce their impact on the environment. Between the Green Office Program and Green Events Program, we aim to provide resources for anyone on campus looking to decrease environmental impact and increase efficiency. Departments and the staff, faculty, students and event coordinators have a unique role in the sustainability movement; their choices determine whether the campus ecosystem works as it is designed to and whether sustainability policies and practices are implemented correctly. By serving as a resource for information, we hope to help implement policies and practices to create a more sustainable campus!
