Transportation and Parking Services has demonstrated its role as a campus leader in sustainability efforts through the commitment of its staff, faculty and students to volunteer their time to develop and implement creative strategies to reduce their environmental impact. In Spring 2009, Transportation and Parking Services was assessed through the Program for the Assessment and Certification for the Environment and Sustainability (PACES). This plan illustrates the findings of that assessment and provides recommendations for future action.
Preparation for LEED
Although Transportation and Parking Servicees will not be going through LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification, the department should still follow LEED guidelines, as well as the guidelines that PACES sets forth in order to reduce the college’s environmental impact.
