The Central Coast Sustainability Committee aims to promote regional planning based on ecosystem borders rather than political jurisdictions.  It does this by fostering collaborations amongst government agencies, non-profit organizations, campuses, utility companies, and business leaders.

The Central Coast Sustainability Committee was born out of the Central Coast Sustainability Summit hosted by UCSB in partnership with local government agencies and non-profit organizations.  The Central Coast Sustainability Committee represents the ongoing collaborations that were initiated through past summits.
