In her role as Sustainable Procurement Program Manager, Jen leads efforts to implement sustainable practices across campus, increase awareness of sustainability initiatives, and ensure UCSB remains on track to meet its procurement goals. She also serves as UCSB’s Small Business Officer.
Jen joined UC Santa Barbara in early 2023 following seven years at UC San Diego, where she managed sustainability engagement efforts and coordinated conservation outreach and educational programs for students, researchers, and staff. Prior to her career in sustainability, she served as a Senior Accountant in UC San Diego’s General Accounting Department.
Born and raised in Western Massachusetts, Jen earned her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Western New England University. Before relocating to San Diego in 2014, she worked in Financial Services at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where she revitalized and co-chaired the EcoOpportunity sustainability team from 2009 to 2014.
