Membership

Membership on the Chancellor’s Sustainability Committee requires written recommendation from the Chancellor’s Office to the Co-chairs of the committee.

Terms

Faculty, staff, and graduate student membership terms are three (3) years. At the conclusion of the three-year term, the member may ask to be re-appointed for another term. Undergraduate student terms are one (1) year in length. At the conclusion of the one-year term, the undergraduate member may ask to be reappointed for another term as long as s/he plans to remain a full-time student throughout the term. If a member is not able to complete their entire term, they must notify the committee co-chairs with ample warning so a replacement can be identified.

Nominations

As membership on the committee becomes available, there will be a call for nominations. Any interested persons may self-nominate or have others nominate them. The potential member’s name and a brief paragraph explaining why they are interested in serving on the committee should be sent to the committee co-chairs by the indicated deadline. The co-chairs will then send the recommended nominee(s) to the Chancellor’s Office for a final recommendation. The persons selected to the committee will be notified by letter (via email) from the Chancellor’s Office.
